Resonance of thoughts of aesthetics theories in German cultural surrounding in works of Tobias Gottfried Schröer In the 19th century teaching an aesthetics’ as a subject was an integral part of education in schools of higher levels in then Hungary according to the Act Ratio educationis. T. G. Schröer. In that context irreplaceable place also belongs to T.G. Schröer; he taught aesthetics in the first half of the 19th century at the evangelical lyceum in Bratislava. He is also the author of Latin esthetical compendium in the Baungarten manner as a discourse about general categories and aesthetic phenomena as well as theories of separate constituents of arts. The influence of his family traditions and education can be observed. In his aesthetic thoughts with the resonance of Alexander Baumgarten, Imanuel Kant, Fridrich Wilhelm Schelling and Jean Paul ideas. He also was strongly influenced by the opinions of Friedrich Schiller and Johann Wolfgang Goethe. The article is meant as an attempt „to present“ how thoughts of the above mentioned personalities resonate in aesthetic works of T.G. Schröer.
